Your role – Are you ready for a challenge?

The Fund Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of queries related to capital transactions requested by policyholders. Those transactions include the processing of new businesses, additions, withdrawals, surrenders, change of custodian banks, etc.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

Lead the team in charge of day-to-day management of queries related to capital transactions requested by policyholders
Verify client instructions and take all necessary actions to ensure the allocation of capital transactions in the systems and follow-up in the quality and timely manner.
Manage close relationships with external partners and develop strong connections with relevant counterparts.
Organise, coordinate and respond to all queries from external partners and internal teams in a timely and quality manner.
Organise regular team meetings and catch-ups with team members.
Provide regular feedback to the management on ongoing cases and team situation.
Ensure that all documentation is suitably organised and accessible
Participate in the creation, update and implementations of procedures and Service Level Agreements, including risk management related controls.

Your profile – Have you got what it takes to become our Fund Operations Manager?

Graduation from University or Business school, preferably in Economics, Finance, Banking or similar field;
At least 2 years people management and relevant leadership experience;
Demonstrated insight of the financial industry; any banking experience, especially in the custody and operations would be an asset;
Inclusive leadership and staff development skills with prior team management experience
Demonstrated agility to use a variety of different systems;
Ability to work under high pressure with good communication and organisation skills;
Ability to work with figures with strong analytical skills;
Being well organised and serious with a methodical approach;
Ability to work autonomously and show strong team spirit on a daily basis;
Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines to meet strict deadlines, prioritizing work and maximizing efficiencies to manage time
Ability to take initiatives and to deliver within tight deadlines, flexible work attitude, being proactive and helpful to reach business goals;
Show integrity with a willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills to interact directly with external parties in a professional and agile manner (emails, phone..);
Good knowledge of MS Office, especially with Excel;
Good level of English both verbally and in writing. Speaking French would an asset.

Desired criteria

At least 5 or 6 years’ experience in a similar position would be an asset;
Demonstrate problem solving, analytical and prioritisation skills;
Continuous learning and improvement mindset.
