As Sous Chef in a Sheela Palace restaurant you are responsible for overseeing the kitchen’s daily operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented according to the highest standards. This includes supervising and training kitchen staff, maintaining food quality, managing inventory, ensuring food safety, and assisting the Executive Chef in menu development. The Sous Chef plays a critical role in ensuring the authenticity of traditional Indian and South Indian cuisine while also managing kitchen efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Associated Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef (5+ years), preferably in South Indian or fine dining restaurants.
In-depth knowledge of South Indian culinary techniques, ingredients, and regional dishes.
Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff.
Expertise in traditional cooking methods such as dosa preparation, steaming, slow cooking, and spice blending.
Excellent organizational skills for managing kitchen operations, inventory, and food orders.
Food safety certifications and relevant culinary qualifications.
